Some Special Bird Photos for Earth Day
Happy Earth Day!
These are photos of a River Kingfisher and a Vivid Niltava. Both are taken by John&Fish, who are actually a brother and sister living in Taiwan. These two people are some of my favorite bird photographers at Flickr. You can see more of their work here.
I am posting their photos in honor of Earth Day. We are all going to hear both sad and happy news about the planet today and I'd like to offer these photos as both hope and inspiration.
Today especially, many people are thinking about how to best protect Mamma Gaia and her creatures. I salute all those working towards that end, in ways both big and small.
Happy Spring to you and yours,
Sia

What exquisite photos! Thanks, Sia.
I'm so glad you liked them.
I've never seen birds like this. It makes me want to go birding in Asia.
Fingers crossed: Someday
