We did it!
We launched two websites at once, which is complete insanity (and if we ever try it again, may someone knock us on the head)....Nevertheless, we did it!
The Pagan Voting Project is now up. We may "tweak" it a bit more and add some things, but 99% of it is done. We got a lovely write up at The Witches'Voice this week about that site:
-----------------------------------------
Our Pagan brothers and sisters over at Full Circle Events have just launched a bipartisan and non-profit web effort entitled The Pagan Voting Project to help inspire US Pagans to vote in the coming national election.Packed with important resources, the Pagan Voting Project tackles head-on the issue of why it is important that Pagans register and vote and then offers quick links to resources that can get YOU signed up. - Whilst there, do check out "Bats Inna Belfry" - A Voting Cardtoon - It's fabulous.
Other sections include a powerful document 'Thirteen Reasons to Vote', a stable of "Pagans Vote' images for YOUR website and other tools to help you to spread the word.Do we vote? Always have.... Always will - Do YOU?
Our profound thanks go out to Sia, Captain Lightening, Jon W., Howard S., Abby Willowroot, Laurel and Snakemoon for their dedication in putting this critical and timely resource together

Damn nice of them to write that....
Traffic is very the site is good, thanks to this front page posting at TWV. Within the first evening, 377 people went to the "Register to Vote" page, and almost as many went to the graphics page. This leads us to hope that we can register a goodly numer of Pagan Voters and get the word out about this project (via those graphics) in time for the election in November.
We have also launched the Witches' Ball website, as well, and it looks fabulous. Again, we'll be doing some tweaking (add the costume graphics, names of Sponsors, play with the SilkRoads map, etc.) but this site is 95% done and we're very proud of it.
Both of these sites will be announced at The Witches' Voice. We'll also go to Google for some AdWords advertising, and Snakemoon will add notes in the September newsletter.
We're exhausted, but it was worth it.
Gods, I love these people - what a great group we have. Nothing daunts them.

Coyote Is Laughing
Well.....Coyote's in the details.
I took a day off from work, more or less, and spent yesterday (day and evening) on various projects. Fixing Glitches, heading off disasters, making minor adjustments, and making
Big Plans.
Deadlines are looming.....The Tricksters are laughing.
We're working with 4 web builders now on various sites. We've got 3 writers and two graphics designers busy, as well.
In between, I watched the Olympics and got inspired.
But today, I'm exhausted. It's time to play with the dog, get some work done in my (real) life and take some rest.
At 3 I've got a phone conference with Snakemoon. "Wither the newsletter?" is our topic. She too, is going at a very high pace at work. She just got back from a magical retreat with her Coven, though, and she sounds good.
I've been dealing with the trees lately, it will be nice to look again at the forest.
Goddess: Please let this week be over soon and all the design issues resolved to Highest Good. And may all go well at the Witches' Ball.

Who's On First?
Mercury is in Retrograde in a big way....
Everyone is struggling to communicate. Calls and emails are missed or mis-understood. Electronics break down, appointments are difficult to keep and it's tempting to put off any more work until after Sept 2nd.
I've written and asked folks to be very careful and patient with one another. Don't assume that you know what the other person is thinking, ASK! (good advice at any time, but essential right now).
But with all that, we still got a lot done.
* Talked to Fritz about PVP - this will be the lead for next week's Witches' Voice
- The hurricane passed them by and they are OK, although many, many others are not.
* Talked to Abbey re Cafe Press designs & PVP ad specs
* Talked to Magickal Velvets re more Vendors for WB.
Q: Can we even fit any more in? We love these folks, they support us every year. But there is so little room left right now.
* Talked to Trisha re final edits on 13 Reasons.
Q: What ads would appeal to young women voters? (A group who don't vote as much as other demographics). Listed her as Co-Writer.
During lunch hour:
Worked with Uncle Jon on PVP pages over the phone
Council Meeting tonight - 7:30 - usual place - (pie!)
To Do:
* Get final money from Sponsor *$250.00 still owed
* Prepare email to other Sponsors for Text link ($25 for 60 days on Front or Costuming Page. $40.00 for 60 days on both - Is this price right? )
* Get Car Pool pages ready
* Pick up flyers from Kinkos
* Make special Lady Liberty Ad for The Witches Voice
* Talked to Mystic Hawk re updates (Laurel sent her notes, as well)
* Kill Bill (just kidding)

Reasons to Vote
* Wrote "Our Top 13 Reasons Why Pagans Should Vote" today - sent it around for review.
* Had Phone meeting with Mystic Hawk yesterday to discuss Witches' Ball website. This year's site is a very different look for us, but it's lovely, and I think it will work well. I've asked her to make the new logo larger. It's quite pretty.
* Working with Laurel & Nimue to make up flyers for Ren Faires. Shelley and her gang will pass these out.
* Talked to Howard about specs for PVP website.
* Abbey hopes to have the graphics done by today for PVP (She's hurt her hand recently, so this is proving difficult) I told her not to rush, we can go forward with what we have.
* Snakemoon is interviewing folks for the Intern position. We have several very interesting candidates.
* Gave a job reference over the phone for one of our staff members today. She's working two jobs right now to make ends meet, so I hope she finds something that's better for her, overall.
To Do:
* Finsh text for PVP site
* Review final drafts of WB site
* Order Dover books for graphics for WB site.
* Discuss ticket prices with Council
* Finalize paperwork with Dj
* Create car pool bulletin board for WB & post it on site.
* phone meeting with Snakemoon (next week)
Right now, I'm on antibiotics & pain killers from yesterday's root canal. These make me woozy, and I haven't slept well, so some of this will have to wait till I feel better. Goddess Bless all Dentists and their kin. (I can't imagine having treatment for this done in the Middle Ages...)

Cats Who Juggle
* The Newsletter's out. I'll be glad when we have a Proof Reader on board to help with this.
Right now, we need to
* Decide on the DJ for the ball
* Create, buy and place ads for the Witches' Ball
* Create more flyers to hand out at the Ren Faires re WB
* Approve and unveil new website(s)
* Get black & white ads for the the voting project to magazine.
* We need to place Sponsor ads on the WB pages & collect money from our Vendors & Sponsors
* The Vendor Room is sold out and has been for some time - we'll need to note that.
Everyone is so busy working on FCE projects that we don't have the time to meet. We've pushed the Council Meeting back another week to accommodate our schedules.
Magpyre's back in town and she is helping with text & history links. I'll need her help finding images for the banners (a Venician ship and/or Gryphon for the West - For China, perhaps a Eastern Dragon or something from Chinese silk art from the period).
Wrote to Lhiannon today to see what can & can't be on her plate right now. She's up to her ears in work right now, and her kids are home for the summer, too, so she might not be able to help as much as she'd like to.
The Pagan writer I contacted did not have the time to do our Top 13 Reasons to Vote Page. So it goes. I'll do what I can here.
Howard is making the background pages for the Pagan Voting Project - these will go nicely with Abbey's graphics. We are using another wonderful image by her which speaks to tolerance & freedom of religion.
Azerias is free for the next month and then he goes back to grad school. Should we work on 501-C paperwork or not? If so, when?
It's a crazy time for all of us ... Like I said in the August newsletter - this isn't just herding cats, it's herding cats who juggle!
